Bike Fresh Bike Local Farm Tours

The Pennsylvania Association of Sustainable Agriculture is hosting 25, 50, or 70 mile Bike Fresh Bike Local farm tours along country roads across the state:

  • Bike Fresh Allegheny County - Sunday, June 2
  • Fresh Centre County - Sunday, August 4
  • Bike Fresh Chester County - Sunday, September 22

    •  Registration is $40, which includes food and beer.

    I'm Christina and my goal is to eat a healthy, predominately local diet. I find that the food is fresher and I appreciate it more when I know the farmer who produced it. One of the challenges of eating local is cooking "backwards"; I learned to cook by looking for recipes and then finding ingredients, but eating local requires me to find recipes that match ingredients I have available. My goal is to provide recipes for seasonal foods and to write about my experiences eating local.
